Fav Army: The army i got back into the hobby with about five years ago was Skaven, so they are my first love. I’m really getting into Lizardmen recently though.
Fav. Tourney: My Favorite event is the UKGT, as it’s the one that we muster the most people for, it’s an awesome weekends gaming with no-one bitching about certain comp systems or subjective comp. You have the rules pack early, you make a list and just get on with it. Always a cracking weekend!
My Trampoline: Haven’t really met the same person more than once or twice at an event. I’ve played Eddie Eccles twice this year, first at the GT Final in February where he charged my daemonette block with his kipper in turn 1 and ended the game for himself there and then, although he went unbeaten after that! Second game was played game 6 of the heats this year vs his best army winning Amazon/Lizardmen army, that ended in a very close draw with Eddie being 100pts up on me, so it looks like I’m in for a kicking next time! Another guy i play a lot at Tournaments is Adam Turner, though never in the first round. I beat him at GT final 2 years ago using Skaven against his VC, played and beat him at the GT Heats in 2007 in game 6 to finish 4th, using Warriors of Chaos vs his Ogres. I played, and beat him again, in Flame On’s Battle of the Chumps tournament on table 1 game 6 to win the event, my Lizardmen vs his Ogres.
Greatest Dice: Definitely the 27 hit conflagaration of doom on Ben Johnson’s hydra at Warrington, though the lucky bastard didn’t die from it, 13 wounds of which 9 were saved. Stegadon bolt thrower shoots the wounded hydra, rolls a 6, Ben fails regeneration, hydra taken off the board! To quote Ben “I fuckin’ hate warhammer”
One Rule Change: If i could change anything in the rulebook it’d be the skirmish re-direction trick, why can’t i go through the fleeing skirmishers straight forward into the unit sat right in front of me?!?!
2009 Masters Tip to Win: My Moneys on Dan Heelan, it’s been a good year so far for him, i reckon he can keep going! (No pressure Dan)
Bad Dice Commentary: Tom is a newcomer to the tournament scene compared to most of the field but is one of only 2 players to be ranked number 1 this year.
